EPIPHONE CRESTWOOD CUSTOM (USA)The Epiphone Crestwood Custom was introduced in 1959 as a 2 mini humbucker version of the Crestwood model (although for the first year of production the Custom had the same New York pickups as the standard Crestwood model). The Crestwood Custom went though the same design changes as the other Epiphone models in the 1960s. Initial versions had symmetrical bodies and 3 per side tuners - this was changed to asymmetrical bodies and batwing 6 per side headstocks from 1963 to 1969. | |
EPIPHONE CRESTWOOD DELUXEEPIPHONE manufactured the CRESTWOOD DELUXE between 1963 and 1969. It was the top of the Crestwood range, having three pickups - one more than the other Crestwood models. You can also identify the Crestwood Deluxe from its block fingerboard markers and ebony fingerboard and larger bound headstock. Introduced in 1963 Crestwood Deluxe was a relatively late arrival to the Crestwood party - so it doesn't have the variations in headstock and pickguard that the other models experienced. |
