The Framus Strato Melodie (model number 5/159) was a nine string solid body electric guitar made from around 1963 until the end of the 1960s. Apart from the extra strings the Melodie was the same as a two pickup Framus Super Strato. The E, B and G strings were doubled on the Framus Strato Melodie. These extra treble strings could be tuned in unison or thirds.
