The double pickup model Kent 1661 was introduced around 1963. It had double cutaway solid mahogany body with a three piece laminated neck. Rosewood fingerboard with eight inlad position markers; adjustable metal bridge; two magnetic pickups with individual adjusting screw for each pole piece; two volume and one tone controls; a three way toggle pickup selector switch; input jack. 36 inches long and 10.5 inches wide.

The Kent model 1661 had century red laquer finish, a tremolo tailpiece and cost $75.90.
