I agree wholeheartedly with both these two previous reviews. I love my guitar for playing metal and even grunge, classic rock & blues. I haven't been giving it enough love lately because I also have a nice custom strat and two Les Paul's not play but I still love the Nitro Limited for the shred effect. Mine is #119. Bought it new in Galveston TX in or around 88. My only complaint is not the guitar but the case. I've had to break out the Gorilla Tape to hold the case together. If I ever bring it to another gig I'll invest in a new case.

I've had mine since 1995 or 1996 - somewhere in there. Anywho, back then my main guitar was my Kramer Focus 1000 Active with the 1 volume knob and no tone or switches to "get in the way". Then I got my Nitro Limited (serial # 054) and an entire new world was opened up to me. The humbucker combined with the 2 single coils allowed for so many different options in tonality. The Kahler tremolo was lightyears beyond any Floyd Rose (still don't know how they lost the law suit). Smooth, accurate dives and squeals then right back to in tune. Plus, since I actually preferred playing dirty, funky strings, I could make a set last better than 6 months. And that's having band practice twice a week and playing lead in a 4 hour show every weekend if not 2. The design of the Kahler cradled the strings and babied and cared for their health while I beat the hell out of them with a 2mm pick. I love, love, love this guitar. I only wish I had serial # 001. Wishes and horses huh?!

I've been wanting one of these since they came out. Back then it was just too expensive for a beginner guitar player that I was then. Years went by and came across one on an auction site. I quickly snapped it up. These guitars were on par with any, I mean any top of the line super strat shredder of the day. Faster neck than a Jackson/Charvelle. Sleeker than a Kramer and let's face it, not lofty in the money department with the likes of custom shredder Fenders of that era. From the electronics to the hardware, this thing is killer. Sounds and plays like a metal dream. But has the finesse to play many different styles too. Blues, jazz and even chicken pickin' country. It's the pickups and controls that allow this varied master of genres. But shredding is where it shines. The quality rivals even today's instruments. I can't think of one negative about this axe. The Kahler tremolo system was also top of the line. If more people had actually picked one of these up. They may have agreed. USA Peavey at its best. I'll never sell it...wish I had one new. They only made 700. That makes it a rare fine if you have one...
