CORT M600

Cort M600 electric guitar (2001)

Introduced in 2001, the Cort Mirage 600 (M600) is the bound flame maple topped version of the M500. The design M600 is bears a close resemblance to the PRS (SE) Custom 22 and its a good low cost alternative to that model if you like that style. In 2001 the M600 had two Mightymite vintage alnico pickups, these were later changed to Ducan Designed HB102 humbuckers. The 2001 M600 had simple dot inlays - but these was soon changed to classy block shaped pearl position markers with abalone corners. CORT G290

Cort G290 electric guitar

The Cort G290 was introduced in 2001, as the top of the range of G-series Stratocaster style electrics. The G290 had a light swamp ash body with carved quilted maple top, bird's eye maple neck, Seymour Duncan TB4 & Vintage staggered HSS pickups, Sperzel Trim-Lok tuners and a Wilkinson VS50 II Tremolo. In 2005 the pickups were changed to EMG SA single coils and an EMG 89 humbucker and the bridge changed to a CFA-III tremolo. The nut was also changed from a Wilkinson roller nut to a Graph Tech Trem nut.

CORT JC 67

CORT manufactured the JC 67 between 1998 and 1999. The Cort JC 67 was like the JC 65 model but had pink sparkle or silver sparkle finish and had two soap bar pickups. I can't get a front view photo of a JC-67 so I had to mock up the picture above using a JC-65.

CORT JC 65

CORT made the JC 65 electric guitar  between 1997 and 1998. It had a double cutaway agathis body - shaped a little like a Fender Jaguar. What set the JC models apart from the other Cort Performer Series models was their Bigsby style JC Tremolo tailpieces. The JC 65 had stratocaster style pickup configuration and controls. Another model - the JC-67 was available with two soapbar pickups and pink or silver sparkle finish.

CORT HIRAM BULLOCK HBS

Hiram Bullock was not only fusion pioneer but also a legendary blues player, who worked with David Sanborn, Jaco Pastorious, Billy Joel, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Marcus Miller amongst others. This true legend has designed his first signature model with Cort the HBS model. Hiram was born in Japan but chose to go with a Korean firm for his strat styled signature model.
