2015 | $135 | worn | Cheezyfrye | Had been looking for a 12 string for years, with my eye on the Seagull s12 or a Breedlove, both retailing for over $500. Walked into the acoustic room at my local Music-Go-Round last year and say this sitting there. Dismissed it initially because I didn't like the look of the headstock. Played a couple other cheap 12's which were garbage. Picked up the fg260 right before I walked out the door and just strummed it. Blown away by the sound/tone and the action was pretty fair. Looked inside the sound hole at the label (tan) and saw it was a Nippon Gakki. Even with the finish being somewhat beat up, I couldn't imagine finding a better sounding guitar for twice the $135 price and have loved playing it since. |
2015 | $160.00 | good | Steve Digby | Guitar has slight Yamaha tummy, where the bridge is tilting forward. I understand this is common on may 12 string guitars. Action is a little high but very playable. I really like the tone. |
2015 | $160.00 | good | Steve Digby | I bought one of these a year ago and have enjoyed it very much. My guitar has slight Yamaha tummy, where the bridge is tilting forward. I understand this is common on many 12 string guitars. Action is a little high but very playable. I really like the tone. |
2018 | $265 | good | ebayer | didn't buy, but one that looks decent/playable has been on ebay for at least one relist and stayed at $265 (+$50 shipping) with no takers |
