Product:

  • electric guitars

Series name:

Dates of manufacture:

1970 to 1975

Introduced around 1970, the Aria 5102T was a thinline ES-335 style hollow bodied electric. Available in sunburst, cherry or green finish (but green finish was only available in 1970-1971). It had a bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with block inlays, tune-o-matic style rocker bridge (with Teflon covered rollers). vibrato tail-piece (with wood-insert). It had a maple laminate body (almost hollow except for a 3/4" square solid block underneath the bridge), The 1971 5102T was advertised with exposed coil two humbuckers - in 1974 the pickups appear to be two P-90 style units. The Aria 5102T is identical to the Epiphone 5102T (AKA EA-250) apart from the headstock logo - both were made in the same Matsumoku factory.

5102T specs

The ARIA 5102T does NOT have 25.5" scale length. It has a 24.75" scale. Nor is it a semi-hollow 335 copy. It is FULLY-HOLLOW like the Gibson ES330...if you have to say it's a copy of something...

Unless the article was

Unless the article was changed after you replied, I think it says it has a ES-335 style body, which it does. Not that it's a semi-hollow. In the specs it clearly states it's a hollow body. Or are you saying it doesn't have the 3/4" block in the middle at all? That is so thin and much thinner than in an ES-335?

Aria II era

The Aria 5102T is not an Aria Pro II model. It predates the pro II models by aprox 10 yrs.
