The 5037 was a dreadnought style 12 string acoustic. The top was solid cedar (although this was changed to solid spruce from 1995 onwards). The back and sides are mahogany. The headstock has a rosewood veneer and 6-a-side tuners with amber tuner buttons. The nato neck has a rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, and a bird wing inlay on the 12th fret. The 5037 came in natural finish.
I don't know when the first 5037s were made, but they were in production by 1986. ALVAREZ discontinued the 5037 WILDWOOD 12-STRING in 1998.
